The American Diabetes Association conducts many health outreach efforts among Latinos in Denver. One of these efforts is the Salsa, Salud, y Sabor program. This class, delivered in Spanish for parents and children, brings an evidence-based and culturally appropriate message to Denver area families. HeartSmartKids helps collect effectiveness data and supports family counseling.

HSK has a close relationship with 9HealthFair, the largest organizer of health fairs in Colorado. Every Fall we team up with Regis Unversity health professions students to screen and counsel families that have difficulty accessing care in the normal health system.
