Kevin Gilbert, Ph.D.
Dr Kevin Gilbert is a co-founder and CEO of HeartSmartKids. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University in Electrical Engineering and previously worked as an engineer with Hewlett Packard. He was part of the expert committee to develop Colorado's childhood obesity guidelines and has presented research on implementing obesity guidelines at national conferences. Dr Gilbert designed the original HeartSmartKids system and continues to manage system development as new technology and research emerge. His passion is the appropriate use of technology to better family health.

Lynn Gilbert, RN, PNP-C, Ph.D.
Lynn has worked in nursing and pediatric primary care for over four decades. She currently teaches in a university nurse practitioner program and provides primary care for medically indigent children. She headed the early childhood component of the clinical practice guidelines for overweight identification and prevention recently published by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Gavin Mahaley
Gavin is a co-founder and the Chief Technology Officer at HeartSmartKids. Gavin is currently working toward his Ph.D. in English Literature. He specializes in web and graphic design and was New Media director for an international public relations firm before starting his own creative development firm, the engine. He is responsible for both the graphic elements of the HeartSmartKids system and consumer development.
